Position: 21st Century Aide

 

 

Job Goal: Under close supervision of the 21st Century Site Coordinator and/or 21st Century Teacher, assist with the day-to-day programming activities within the After School 21st Century Program at Hyannis West Elementary School.

 

Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience working with school-aged children
• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Must be able to obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire (Preferred)

 

Reports To:

• 21st Century Site Coordinator

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor children’s needs, health, and safety at all times
• Assist in organizing and facilitating group activities and projects
• Provide assistance during parent pick up
• Assist in ensuring safe play conditions for children
• Provide assistance to students during homework help
• Encourage children to participate in enrichment activities and organized games
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, positivity, and a strong work ethic
• Must work well in a team environment
• Other duties as assigned
